What's involved
How it works
Metal sheds come apart in panels and go quickly. Wood sheds get dismantled rather than knocked over, which is slower but keeps the material sortable and stops nails ending up across the yard. Anything still stored inside can go in the same load if you want it gone.
The slab underneath
Most sheds sit on a concrete pad, gravel, or paving slabs. Any of those can stay or go. If the pad's going, it's priced by weight rather than volume — concrete is heavy and transfer stations charge accordingly.
Permits
Small accessory structures usually don't need a demolition permit, but rules vary by municipality across the metro and larger structures can be a different story. Check with your city before scheduling if the shed is substantial or if it has power or plumbing run to it.

Do I need to empty it first?
No, but tell us what's in there. Contents can go in the same load — it just changes the volume.
Can you take the fence too?
Yes. Fence teardown is common alongside shed removal and gets quoted together.
What if it has power run to it?
Get the circuit disconnected at the panel by an electrician first. We won't cut live conductors.
